Director Byul classifies hair into four damage levels. The level determines protocol, pre-treatment, and outcome expectations.
Healthy Hair
Never bleached, light color only or virgin. No breakage. Holds curl. Feels smooth wet and dry. Standard magic OK.
Mild Stress
Single color treatment, some heat damage from tools, slight dryness at ends. Most international travelers fall here.
Moderate Damage
Bleached 1-2 times, multiple color sessions, visible breakage at ends, frizzy texture. Needs careful protocol.
Severe Damage
Platinum/repeatedly bleached, snapping when stretched wet, gummy texture, breaks easily. May be "Not yet" territory.

Hands-on hair check. Strand test. Final damage level confirmed (matches photo assessment 95% of time). Protocol adjusted if needed.

Intensive bonding protein applied. Hair conditioned to prepare for chemical step. This is the step regular magic skips — adds 30-60 min but protects damaged hair.

Low-temperature magic straightening. Section by section. Director Byul personally performs every Recovery Magic — never delegated. Lunch ordered to you if you want.

We turn away ~10% of Recovery Magic inquiries. Honesty matters more than the booking. If any of these apply, WhatsApp us anyway — we'll suggest alternatives.
Bleached 3+ times in the past year
Cumulative damage compounds. Recovery Magic on this hair often causes more breakage. We recommend 3-6 months home recovery first.
Hair snaps when stretched wet
Wet elasticity test failed = protein damage too severe for safe chemical treatment. At-home protein-rebuild masks for 3 months, then re-photo.
Recent (within 4 weeks) chemical service elsewhere
Magic on top of recent perm/color/relaxer compounds chemicals. Wait at least 4 weeks, ideally 8 weeks, before Recovery Magic.
Active scalp irritation or sensitivity
Recovery Magic chemicals on irritated scalp = burning or worse irritation. Heal scalp first (Scalp Spa ₩80,000 helps), then book Recovery Magic.
Unrealistic expectation of "before-damage" hair
Recovery Magic makes damaged hair healthier-feeling, but doesn't reverse damage to brand-new condition. If you expect "like never damaged," we'll explain limits before booking.
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
We don't perform any chemical service on pregnant or breastfeeding clients. Heat-only styling alternatives available. Resume Recovery Magic when ready.
